Getting to New Orleans

If you are flying in and you do not have transportation arranged, we strongly recommend either Uber/Lyft, or the French Quarter shuttle service, which offers discounts for round trips.

Driving:

The closest major interstate is I-10, which runs through the north part of New Orleans heading east-west.

Here are driving directions from the hotel's website:

I-10 Heading East:
Take I-10 East to the I-10/610 split, pass the "New Orleans Business District" and merge right at the Slidell/1-10 split. Continue on I-10 to the "Orleans Avenue/Vieux Carre" exit (235-A). The ramp exit will merge with Orleans Avenue. Move into the far left lane and take the U-turn at the sign that reads "N. Rampart via Toulouse." Immediately merge into the far right lane which will lead you to the Toulouse entrance into the French Quarter. The Maison Dupuy will be on your left at the end of the first block.

I-10 Heading West:
Exit at Orleans/Vieux Carre exit. At the end of the ramp, take a left at the light. Follow Orleans Avenue (which will go back under the Interstate) for 3 blocks until you reach the U-turn on Orleans at the sign that reads "N. Rampart via Toulouse." Immediately merge into the far right lane which will lead you to the Toulouse entrance into the French Quarter. The Maison Dupuy will be on your left at the end of the first block.

Parking: We have a special convention rate ($20/day) which should be automatically provided if you booked through our direct link.

MSY Airport
Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY):
All major airlines are represented here at this hub for American Airlines and Southwest Airlines.

The airport offers a shuttle service to the French Quarter for less cost than most cabs. You can even get a discount for a round-trip ticket. To book your ride or for more details, click here.

Transportation in and around town

Once in town, you have many options for travel. With the hotel located in the heart of the French Quarter, you will be able to access most of the city by foot. If you want to tour spots a bit further away, or if you are heading several blocks away after dark, we recommend one of the following options.

Cab/Taxi
There are plenty of cabs and taxis operating in and around the city. For a listing of active cab companies, click here.

Street Car
New Orleans is famous for it's vintage streetcars. There are several different lines to choose from, so make sure you review your route and take the correct car. For more information about the streetcar system, click here.

Pedicab
Bicycle-powered open-air cabs are a great alternative for relatively short distances, or for a view of the city without the confinements of a car. For more details, click here.

Airport Shuttle Service
The best rates for travel to/from the airport can be found with the airport shuttle. You can book in advance, and you can save money on a round trip ticket. For more details, click here.

Uber/Lyft
Like most major metropolitan areas, both Uber and Lyft are available for your convenience.

Other
You can always try one of the relaxing scenic rides provided by horse & carriage, or even riverboat.
